There are many other ways to promote a web site….

  • Place your web site URL on all of your printed brochures, business cards, phone directory listings, etc. – any place you would put the name of your business.
  • Place a link your web site URL on the bottom of your emails. This is done through a signature file on your email program.
  • Put out a press release with your web site URL listed.
  • Put your web site URL on any signs, postings or on your vehicle signs.
  • Participate in discussion groups and place your web site URL in the signature below your postings.
  • Include your web site URL any time you submit an article either online or to a printed publication.
  • Advertise in the Yellow Pages. Not only will you be listed in the phone book, but you will also be linked to from the online version of the Yellow Pages – a great boost to your link building campaign.
  • Join the Better Business Bureau – they have an online service with a link that you can place on your web site, which shows your business track record. Also, they will link to you – another great boost to your link building campaign.
  • Join your local Chamber of Commerce. They usually have a web site where you can advertise, and where they will link to your site. They also distribute directories advertising their members’ businesses – Include a link to your web site URL in your listing. Additionally, regularly have meetings and gatherings for networking.
  • Give talks and workshops. Have your business cards and brochures with you to distribute.
  • Volunteer or donate your services. Another great way to network and show the world what your business has to offer!
